A New Sport is born - Aerial Bow Fishing |

Ok, I know there hasn't been a lot of posts on this blog. We've been been very busy developing websites for our clients. I don't want to just post funny things I come across like so many blogs do; but I just can't resist posting this even though it has NOTHING to do with web dev. or new media. For those of you living outside the Midwest who are wondering what us "country folk" do on the weekend, I have your answer. Aerial Bow Fishing!
You see in Illinois, our rivers we are being invaded by Asian Carp which have this unique ability to jump up to 10 feet out of the water and can grow up to 40 lbs. They are crowding out other river species that eat river plankton and have no natural preditors.
Below is a video I found at YouTube that just left me speechless. It's fishing for jumping Asian Carp with compound bows. Like as in Archery!
I believe this video was shot on the Illinois River near Peoria Illinois.
