There's an old saying that goes something like this..."the cobbler's
children never have a decent pair of shoes". Meaning, of course, that
the cobbler fixes his customer's shoes first and somehow never gets
around to his kid's shoes. Over the years our Affinity AV web site has
suffered a similar fate. So my project developer, Jayne Rose commented
last week that our site needed more content. My wise-crack back to her
was "add it to the list".
Jayne's comment must have been rattling about in my sub-conscience for a while in that it woke me up at 3 am the other night with a bunch of ideas. "Create a Blog". I know, I know, <sarcasm> big deal </sarcasm>, Blogs are soooo 2004 *chuckles*. Well yes, Blogs are a little "over exposed" in our tech-culture but the bottom line is that blogs are no longer a trend they are a tool. I wanted to create a content structure that allowed me to write about topics in a more informal, slightly acerbic way, our blog gives us this.
Welcome to the Semi-Legible Blog, dispatches from the new media bandwagon. Obviously we will be promoting what we believe to be "news" (new website launches, new services etc). More importantly, we will be writing articles on what we see happening in web development today. We're not talking about elitist, geek speak. We're talking about topics and experiences we have daily with our clients and vendors. Stuff that helps explain what digital marketing is about and how it works.
We will also be adding the ability for our readers to post comments to our articles to share your opinion and experiences.
